- In the games
page Games List by Size the
games are listed by the size of their files; this page allows to
prove the speed of the modem in a comparative way: If for example
the download time of a 25k file (game) is 5 seconds, 250k games
will take 50 seconds to download and display in your browser, under
similar conditions. Several factors influence download (upload)
time: modem, telephone lines, Internet Service Provider (ISP), localization,
etc. This "List by Game Size" allows the players to organize
time.
Most of the free online games require a navigator with JAVA (TM
Sun Microsystems); if your navigator is old you may test if it has
JAVA by trying to download games of small size; If it doesn't work,
your system needs a new navigator with JAVA engine !
Navigators version 5 and up, quick connections; cable, DSL, etc.,
don't have any problem.

List by Type.
- In the Favorite
Games Page the games are listed in order of
preference; the interesting and better designed games are listed
first. Obviously preferences and skill varies with players age,
sex, education, and other factors. This games guide is only a reference.
- Java games
works as an independent window within the browser window; in order
to activate a Java game, you must remember that the
cursor must enter the game area and it should be clicked (left mouse
bottom) to be activated; so the games will accept commands
from your keyboard and - or mouse activity.
Macromedia (TM) Flash games
require the plug-in Flash that can be downloaded free from Macromedia.com;
the latest browser versions already include an installed Flash plug
in.
- Free Games
online could crash the browser or stop working if are not used according
to the instructions. If you notice that the game doesn't work properly,
reload the browser window again using the menu selection (Refresh
- Reload).
- Some games
require a lot of memory and - or resources from the system;
if your system experience problems with some games, close other
programs to free resources. Erasing cached files (Temporary Internet
files) and the History folder links (I.E. menu: Tools - Internet
Options) would speed up the browser functions. In general it is
good idea to reboot the system after few hours of use; software
applications and particularly games do not free system resources
completely, you will notice the improved performance.
